Architectural Technician

Salary : £28000 – £29500/annum
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable business in the East Grinstead area who are currently in search of an Architectural Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Purpose of job:
To provide technical support as part of the Team on projects from inception to completion through provision of design concepts, technical drawings and assisting in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This will include production of associated documentation, as-built drawings, involvement in design changes and design support to other Departments as necessary.
Key tasks/Accountabilities:
Assist the Senior Architectural Technicians in the production of high quality concept and technical drawings in Autocad suitable for planning, tendering and construction on a variety of project types including new build, refurbishment and groundworks
Assist in the change management procedures within the business to allow continued evolution of specifications
Support the Development Managers on projects including obtaining Building Regulation approval through the preparation of drawings and supplying technical information.
Produce planning drawings for projects in liaison with the Senior Architectural Technicians, Planning and Development Managers
Assist in maintaining the standard drawings and specification library
Update as built drawings as required to maintain an up to date library of drawings across the estate
Undertake site visits as necessary to assist in carrying out job role
Providing Autocad drafting skills to assist other departments throughout the business as directed by the Manager
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
Educated to HND or higher in a relevant qualification
Competent Autocad operator with a knowledge of Building Regulations
Able to participate and contribute effectively as a full team player
Good organisational skills with a methodology approach and ability to organise own workload
Effective communicator, both verbally and written
Flexi working to include a combination of working from the office, from home and on site. Be prepared to undertake UK travel and stay overnight, as required by the role
