A Lead CAS Modeller is required to join a Coventry based OEM, you will work within a vehicle concepts group and be part of a team who are responsible for the development of new vehicle concepts and early phase definition of the next generation electric vehicles. The Lead CAS Modeller will be responsible for advanced and production surfacing projects. Working from advanced upto production Class A final delivery on Exterior & Interiors.

As Lead CAS Modeller – you will be required to

Lead the CAS/Class A surfacing phase on UK based programmes
Manage the internal and external surfacing teams
Interrogate engineering inputs, geometry and sections to understand the impact on surface design and quality
Lead the cross functional surface quality review process
Participate in integration meetings between engineering, design, program management and suppliers to ensure the right quality of inputs
Participate in surface reference model and tooling reference model review process to identify surface quality issues
Manage the surfacing transition process from the UK studio to other international studios
Work closely with overseas engineering and manufacturing teams to develop feasible CAS/Class A surface data
As Lead CAS Modeller – you will have

Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in creative & technical digital surface creation using Alias
Proven experience as a Lead CAS Modeller
Experience of working with engineering inputs
Knowledge in interpretation of design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals
Knowledge in integrating technical, engineering and manufacturing inputs
Can plan time to meet given deadlines
Proven experience interfacing with DMO and provide supporting data for physical modelling
