Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, results driven senior sales account manager, looking to progress to a Head of Sales. Reporting to the MD, this opportunity offers succession planning for the right individual. This will be a key appointment within this established clothing manufacturer. To be part of a commercial menswear division, with responsibility for strategic and sustainable growth whilst upholding the Company’s fundamental dedication to quality and innovation.
The ideal candidate will share a passion for menswear, and have experience from within a similar supplier sales role. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of business growth with on-line, high street and supermarket customers (UK & International), as well as being conversant with a supply chain of offshore mills and factories.
Head of Sales Menswear (London) – The Job Outline
* Work closely with customers and the design, fabric and technical teams to develop new and existing business.
* Work with the sales and merchandising teams to ensure an achievable critical path for each order
* Ensure all products are costed via the most competitive route to achieve margin targets.
* Oversee agreement of prices and delivery dates with factories.
* Work with offshore manufacturing teams to ensure pre-production and production dates are met.
* Liaise with factories to ensure capacity is available for orders.
* Manage the merchandising team and liaise with factories to ensure that all critical path deadlines are met.
* Work with the design and technical teams to ensure all business and customer expectations are met.
* Oversee the internal order book for each customer.
* Continually research the Menswear market to keep up-to-date with customer buying patterns.
Head of Sales Menswear (London) – The Person Specification
* Sales Manager with over 5 years of experience in supplier-based clothing industry encompassing multi-product menswear.
* Proven track record in sales growth and sales target achievement.
* Proven track record of team management
* Detailed knowledge of offshore supply-chain to ensure all order commitments are met.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Expertise in garment costings and margin management.
* A confident, self-motivated, proactive approach. Ability to work effectively in a team, and to support/motivate and lead others from within demanding fast-paced environment
* Ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues both in the UK and overseas.
* Proficient on Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
