Casino game studio founded in 2020 that delivers high quality slot games, specifically tailored to casino enthusiasts in search of deeper gameplay. All games are built in-house by an international, fully remote team with years of experience of game development within the industry. Going against the trend of churning out games at a rapid pace, the team will deliver games that are meant to be played for years, always looking to improve the experience wherever possible. You would be working in a small but highly skilled Art team creating art for games, being involved in visual style development for new games, and creating and preparing 2D artwork for characters, environments, UI, loading screens etc.

The requirements…

We’re looking for a highly skilled 2D Artist with previous gaming experience, great skills in illustration (for a wide range of styles) and strong skills in UI, fonts, compositions and colours.

It’s super important that the right person is a self-starter, has a strong work ethic and has bags of initiative whilst also remaining very open, collaborative and has a flexible and friendly approach to delivering artwork in a studio and/or production type environment.

The responsibilities…

We’re looking for a Game Artist to join their experienced development team remotely. They are an up-and-coming slot studio on a mission to create next level slots with an enthusiastic following. As an artist at this studio, you will be given ownership of illustrating top quality slots whilst working closely with their talented production teams. You will be given a high degree of freedom but will also have the opportunity to learn from their experienced senior artists, working at a reasonable pace to allow for top quality deliveries.

To match with the position and the studio, you need to be skilled, creative, and enthusiastic about the challenge of making unique ideas come to life.

As a Game Artist, you will have full ownership of your assigned game’s illustration. You will take the concepts from research to rendered assets while ideating about the design with the producer and the animator. The projects typically last about 4 months each, working on an immersive and creative range of assets such as backgrounds, symbols, game logo and other in game UI elements.

You will be working with a fully inhouse team of professionals with years of creating top quality slots in the portfolio. You will also be expected to contribute to the game design by giving input

Key skills we’re looking for…

* 3+ years’ experience within a studio or creative production pipeline

* A highly creative and diverse portfolio of 2D artwork

* Creative understanding of composition, layout, colour attention, and design

* Ability to showcase multiple art styles and techniques (with particular emphasis on bright, eye catching and visually striking artwork)

* 2D Character expertise (with emphasis on human anatomy and movement)

Bonus points for…

* Examples of highly polished and refined artwork

* Animation skills

The process..

First, a short call with me 🙂 – my job is to ensure we find the right type of people to collaborate and compliment the current set up. Again, culture fit here is key!

Next, a 1 stage process with the team where they will go through your portfolio, your skills, experience and expertise. This will also be a two-way process where they will tell you all about the team, projects and culture.

Then… either an offer or a run through as to why they didn’t move forwards to offer – I’ll get detailed feedback if unsuccessful which hopefully you’ll find useful moving forwards to help you get closer to securing that dream role 🙂
