The organisation is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide excellent infrastructure support for the groups IT needs.

Description

Reporting to the Senior Technical Lead this varied role would suit an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a wide range of skills in maintaining all levels of Infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Servers, VMware and supporting technologies. Opportunities to travel to remote sites in the US and Europe.

Supporting Skills Required:

Excellent knowledge in supporting all infrastructure from networks to servers both virtual and physical.
Ability to support, design and implement VMware vSphere suite (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN). Ability to build a vSphere cluster from scratch including configuring and attaching SAN storage, network etc.
Robust understanding of Windows Server technologies and administration including AD DS, Group Policy and WDS.
Experience in Citrix and Remote Desktop Services.
Excellent knowledge in SAN technologies.
Solid experience in administering and supporting Office 365 technologies.
Excellent knowledge of supporting and implementing EUC including desktop and notebooks, handheld computers, thin clients, mobile technologies and peripheral devices.
Provide excellent 2nd and 3rd level support for service requests.
Ownership and initiative. You take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements. Other ideal skills:

Microsoft qualification or equivalent
Experience in HP servers and SAN
Cyber Security awareness qualification
Mitel phone systems experience
PowerShell
Wireshark
Change management processes This role will be predominantly head office based, however there is flexibility with some hybrid working.

Profile

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer based in Northampton-shire, you will be a natural problem solver and trouble-shooter, effectively prioritising and resolving technical support issues.

You will be a proactive approach to problem-solving identifying any patterns, trends and opportunities for learning with ability to think laterally when diagnosing complex issues.
The successful candidate will look for ways to continuously improve the IT support service for users and have the ability to work with organisational systems, SLA's, policies and processes.
You will be comfortable and able to communicate technical concepts confidently and accurately to all users, both at technical and non-technical levels.
Is flexible in their approach to the work they undertake and happy to fulfil all tasks to achieve a successful outcome and has a thorough, organised and methodical approach.Job Offer

£40,000 – £48,000 depending on experience + Excellent benefits
