Design Engineer

A fast-growing manufacturer supplying into the aerospace, defence, F1 and medical sectors is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team based near Gloucester Quays.
Previous experience as a Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, CAD Draughtsman, Project Engineer or similar is required. Experience working to BS8888 would be highly advantageous and all candidates must have a minimum of 2 year's experience of 3D design, ideally using Solidworks.

Salary – £30,000-£40,000
Working hours – 08:30-16:45 (Mon-Thurs) 8:30-16:15 (Fri)

The Role
Design of parts and assemblies for a variety of protective applications
3D model generation
2D drafting
Creation of drawing supporting documentation
Technical administrative duties
Bill of Materials Generation
Component Nesting
Offering design support to other departments
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Requirements:
Qualified in a relevant engineering field such as a mechanical engineering degree, HNC, Apprenticeship or similar would be highly advantageous.
Minimum 2 year's experience in 2D drawing to BS8888
Minimum 2 year's 3D design experience (Solidworks desirable)
