The Role
Due to a recent increase in our kit and facilities, a new position has been made available for a Junior Technician with our company at Battersea Studios, London.
As a Junior Technician, you will be supporting the technical team to test and maintain the components of our Camera, Video and Edit departments.
The role is a permanent position following a 9-hour day flexible shift pattern between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. This role can involve occasional weekend work and there is the possibility of other out of hour's overtime.
Responsibilities
* Test hired kit upon return from clients; assuring it is provided to our clients in a suitable condition and in line with manufacturer specifications.
* Reporting and logging any damage or missing components to the correct member of staff.
* Performing repairs were possible and communicating with service providers when required.
* Looking after any crew on prep days and assisting visiting clients seeking kit demonstrations
* You will start with the more basic kit (Grip, Lighting etc) and gradually learn on the job as you progress on to more complex equipment (Lighting, Cameras, Lenses etc)
Candidate Requirements
* Film and Broadcast-related degree or industry experience is required.
* Competent Technical Understanding, ideally that of the Film and TV Industry.
* General Knowledge of Professional Cameras, Lighting & Sound Equipment.
* IT and Computer Skills in both macOS and Windows Systems.
* Proactive and Keen to Self-Learn and Problem Solve.
* Good Organisation and Time Management.
* Great Attention to Detail.
* Appreciation of Key Industry Manufacturers such as ARRI, Sony, Zeiss and Canon.
* Full Clean Driving License is Desirable but Not Essential.
