Salary :

We are recruiting for a CMF Designer to join our growing Industrial Design Team at our Bournemouth site, where we manufacture world class aircraft cabin interiors.
The successful person will work on multi disciplinary projects on products such as first, business, premium economy & economy seats, social areas, bars, premium galleys, galleys & cabin furniture.
Responsibilities:
* Pioneer new material technologies to further the advancement of aviation certified materials.
* Responsible for full colour and trim spec’s
* Development of those materials with international supply base
* Interest in cultural influences
* Brand Identity awareness
* Exploration/ Research and concept generation. Inc. Market analysis, brand history and heritage. Colour & pattern trends. Produce digital & physical mood boards.
* Design/ create the vision moving forward from the client feedback. Lead client workshops to convey our vision and gain traction moving forward. Present materials and justification of material choice.
* Develop/ work through the design refining and evaluating. Inc working through refinement of design, often relaying information to visualisation teams for digital renders. Working through millstones with airframers (AIRBUS/BOEING) and clients to validate the material choices.
* Deliver/ create the final product ready for implementation. Inc Finalising CMF docs. Managing client changes. Attending client meetings for final sign off.

Requirements
Essential
* 2-3 years expereince in CMF design
* Experience working with design teams to mature material specs for clients.
* Technical knowledge of mass production, manufacturing processes, and materials
* Experience delivering successful designs under tight timing constraints
* Exceptional visual communication, and presentation skills
* Proficient in Adobe packages, and Microsoft Office packages
* Able to manage multiple parallel-path projects
* Bachelor’s degree in a design discipline (i.e. textiles, industrial, transportation, product, architecture)
Desireable
* Some knowledge of CAD rendering software such as Blender or Vray would be a bonus. (Training can be provided)
* Preferred Aviation Experience
The incumbent should be able to travel world wide, and may be asked on a rare occassion to work extended hours due to deadlines if needed.
