Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a CAD Engineer to work on our DV2 Scottish Water framework, working from our office in Glasgow.

As the CAD Engineer, you'll work closely Senior CAD Engineer within our Technical Services department, you will work with other key team members in delivering detailed design services including the production of drawings using AutoCAD and associated packages.

Working as part of a friendly team where input is valued and recognised, MWS are looking for a team player who can help fulfil its goals of growth and market penetration over the years ahead.

As the CAD Engineer your responsibilities will include:

Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by the Design team

Use a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D and 3D models

Liaise with, engineers and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians

Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings

Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols

Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the product

Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction, and installation

Produce installation and manufacturing documentation

Maintain accurate records

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline

Post graduate experience of 3D software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or Revit is desirable, comprising also the application of project collaboration platforms

Conversant with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Word

Experience in all or some of the design development for clean / wastewater networks and pipeline schemes

Ground Investigation work experience would be desirable but not compulsory
