Salary : £25000 – £26000/annum

A company with over 20 years derealising the untapped skills within school kitchens are seeking an Area Manager to join their team covering the South West region.  They set out over 20 years ago to produce restaurant quality meals, freshly cooked from raw ingredients. 

As an Area Manager you will:

Effectively manage your portfolio of contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction on
all levels. 
Lead the catering teams including identifying training and development needs. 
Maintain accurate training records for all employees in your area and to ensure
that all staff are provided with appropriate training. 
Ensure that the area is adequately staffed at all times and to forecast and plan for
future requirements.
Ensure that full and accurate information is obtained from all new employees to the satisfaction of the Company. 
Deal with any performance, absence, disciplinary or grievance issues (with support
from HR). 
Ensure all staff are adhering to Company policies & procedures and are working
safely. 
Handle TUPE transfers (both in & out). 
Liaise with the school staff and student representatives to ensure that the meals
and service meets customer expectations and changing requirements.   
Hold regular meetings with clients to ensure they are satisfied with our service. 
Work with our clients to resolve any issues.

We are looking for an Area Manager with:

Hands-on cooking experience (in a professional setting).
Experience in school catering is extremely desirable, but not essential. 
Multi-site management experience or experience in school catering.
Recognised catering qualifications. 
Management experience. 
IT literate.
Access to own transport and willing to travel due to the nature of the role.
Full UK driving licence.
