We are recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior to join a highly renowned accountancy firm at its North London office.

As Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior you will be assisting the managers and partners in the management and delivery of accounts preparation services for Owner Managed Business client portfolio.
As Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing statutory year end accounts from records, from planning to completion
* Working within a team, planning, management and delivery of statutory audit assignments
* Preparing accounts and tax returns for partnerships
* Managing deadlines and client expectations
* First review of statutory accounts and stress management accounts
* Dealing with queries from clients via email and on the phone
* Reviewing VAT returns
* Some management accounts
* Providing on the job training for junior members of the team
* Attending client sites as necessary
Key competencies and experience required:
* ACA/ACCA part-qualified
* Minimum of around 18 months experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
* Experience of statutory accounts preparation and audit processes
* Experience of VAT return preparation
* Solid all round technical skills
* Ability and desire to take ownership of a portfolio of clients
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage workload and deadlines
* Willing to go the extra mile when required
* An understanding of budgets and recoveries
* Experience with working with outsourcing teams is an advantage
* Good general IT skills; experience with IRIS and Xero is also preferred but not essential
