Hourly rate between £10.00ph and £15.00ph DOE
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit Abattoir Operatives on behalf of one of our clients based in the Banham area. This is also an opportunity for somebody looking for a career in the meat trade with fast progression and a passion for learning.
Due to the location of the client and early starts own transport is required.
The working hours will be:
Monday to Friday 7am – 3.30pm with overtime available as busier periods.
Abattoir Operative responsibilities:
Working in a bloody environment
Following RSPCA guidelines
Cut, grind and preparing the meat for food production
Cleaning of the slaughter house
Handling the animals and raw meat
Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations
Abattoir Operative experience and skills:
Experience working with knives would be desirable but not essential
A very good understanding of verbal and written English
The ability to maintain a sterilised knife at all times
Experience working in a cold environment
Experience working with animals in a similar environment is ideal although full training is provided
