1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Type : Contract, Full Time

Salary : £60 – £95/day

PIoneer People supporting a school in Saltley that are looking to appoint a dedicated, kind, caring Teaching Assistant with experience of working with SEN children with SEMH/attachment disorder for 5 days/week. They are covering the role internally but now need to get dedicated 1:1 support for the child.
The candidate must:
· Have a love of children
· Enjoy playing with and caring for children
· Have previous experience of working with or caring for children with SEMH needs
· Have an abundance of patience
· Be adaptable
· Be willing to attend training
This school is an outstanding school based in Saltey, they have a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Teaching Assistant will be involved in supporting a pupil on a one to one basis with their social, emotional and academic progress. The child has SEMH needs and will be in year 1. This support will include nurture sessions and supporting positive interactions and play with peers. An understanding of attachment disorder would be desirable.
