Job Type : Temporary, Full Time

Salary : £75.92 – £95.00/day

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely East Riding Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with our teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for students with challenging behaviours. The role is a full time role to start in September and will be for at least a year. The school may wish to engage the right candidate on a contract. The school is located in the East Riding in the Goole Area.

The role is to support a child on a 1:1 basis. He displays challenging behaviour and the school are seeking someone who would be committed to the well being of this pupil and be part of his school life. The pupil would need support at all times and the right person would be ideally supporting him on breaktimes. (Breaks will be given at other times to subsidise this)

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting a student with challenging behaviours in a classroom setting
Developing and implementing behaviour management plans
Providing one-on-one support for students as needed
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote positive behaviour
Monitoring and tracking student progress and reporting to relevant staff members
Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in behaviour support

Requirements:

Experience working with students with challenging behaviours
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
A positive and patient approach to working with students
Must have a DBS check or willing to have one
Must have a relevant qualification in teaching assistant or similar fieldThis is a full-time position and the successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package.
