IT PROGRAMME MANAGER
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £70000 – £80000/annum + excellent benefits
IT Programme Manager is required by fast growing and highly successful international organisation.
Purpose:
The IT Programme Manager is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, managing projects, managing budgets, leading delivery teams and improving our services to maintain customer satisfaction.
Main Duties & responsibilities:
* Identifying customer needs and overseeing service delivery within the business context.
* Leading the service delivery team, managing conflict, and ensuring the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
* Managing finances and budgets.
* Determining ways to reduce costs without sacrificing customer satisfaction.
* Building partnerships and liaising with team leaders to determine the company's services, delivery criteria, and solutions for issues that may arise.
* Responsible for a range of different projects across the department
* Management of the BA, test team and the Business Data Analytics function
* Engagement with the PMO director to support and manage change requests and new projects as they are raised in the business
* Assignment of agreed projects to the teams
* Ensuring team members regularly contribute updates, ensuring projects get progressed and resolving any highlighted blockers
* Contributing to change management
* Monitoring delivery of projects
* Technical governance of the BDA function
* Management and support of new bids; from attending meetings, providing quotations for the work to help with business winning managing budgets for projects
* Supporting the board with daily operational meetings
* IT board organisation and admin
* Supporting the account management community
* Mentoring and support to new recruits
* Supporting a defence specific commodity provision contract on a remote basis
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
* A customer focussed Service Delivery professional who genuinely cares about their client with a desire ‘to get things done’
* Someone who has the capability to build their technical understanding of systems and processes
* Ideally ITIL qualified but experienced in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
* Degree qualified or equivalent in a directly IT related subject with a demonstrable background delivering in an IT lead environment and projects.
