Salary :

We are looking for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for our Mechanical Drill, Laser Drilling and Routing departments. The applicant will require to have a knowledge of CNC machining equipment and Co2 / UV laser processing.
Team work, high quality standards and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The Process Engineer must be able to work proactively, and independently whilst focused on deadlines, as this is a laser production role and not a laser development role.
Applicants considered will be from a strong engineering background either through apprenticeship, with an HNC/HND qualification or at graduate degree level in Physics, Optical engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or experimental science subject and be able to demonstrate good practical and problem-solving capabilities.
A solid hands-on engineering employment background is extremely beneficial for this role, and knowledge of working with lasers would be extremely advantageous.
You will carry out activities such as: production support; new product introduction; process development and improvement activities. You will be able to demonstrate good technical knowledge and a practical "hands-on skill set" along with core engineering skills including data analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable requirements:
* Experience in the development of machine tools and systems for laser material processing, or aligned technologies.
* Experience with Co2 / UV laser material processing.
* Experience with manufacturing method complimentary to laser material processing.
* Understanding of business requirements in high-tech manufacturing
* Proven experience in manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances on modern CNC Machines, coupled with knowledge of CNC programming techniques ideal although not essential.
* Report, documentation, or business writing skills with strong attention to detail.
To succeed in this role you will be an apprentice trained or HNC qualified in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent hands on engineering expertise) and have extensive practical experience in a machining manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing / Production Engineer
