The Role

Capella Professional's client are an award-winning family business with over 30 years experience in the footwear industry. From their Derbyshire head-office they distribute safety footwear to re-sellers, wholesalers, and distributors across the world. As a strong performing and fast growing business that has seen consistent year on year growth for the past 14 years, this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business which a huge drive to take its success to the next level.

They are looking to recruit a Field Support Merchandiser with the energy, determination, and ability to create high impact change with a strong attitude towards getting things done and a key eye for detail. Visiting customers retail outlets UK wide to ensure they are merchandised to the highest possible standards, as well as making sure the brand stands out from the crowd.

Specific Responsibilities:

Heading up distributor open days to promote and demonstrate product features and benefits to end-users and generating sales.
Interaction with end-users on-site to promote features and benefits, conduct footwear site audits, well-being programs, and toolbox talks
This position involves a huge amount of travel around the UK in a company-provided high specification van with the latest mod-cons.
Complete ownership for the company's in store merchandising with no fixed rule book, enabling you to use initiative depending on the store and environment.
Be prepared to get involved with the process from start-finish – building, cleaning, and moving racking across customer branches.
Collect & deliver point-of-sale stock to our distribution partners sites.
Work as part of a wider team sharing ideas and good practice with our sales teams to drive business success.
Build strong rapport with internal teams and branch staff

About You:

Responsible for creating effective store displays through merchandising and organising products to give the end user a great experience of the company products.
Confident with the ability of creating good customer relationships.
Have a good commercial awareness and understand how the critical placement of products within retail stores affects sales performance.
Have a "can-do approach" managing relationships and expectations at branch level.
Enjoy being on the road and working independently, also being prepared to say away from home when required (accommodation and meal expenses will l be covered).
Proactive, able to manage your own workload and work towards deadlines.
Confident in using technology
Previous merchandising experience of some form is essential.
Must hold a full-UK driving license

Additional Information:

Location: Nationwide (UK) – when not travelling then home office based, head office based, or coffee shop based.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday with some flexibility

Pay: £30,000pa plus bonus
