An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager within the Automotive Driving Events Industry. Everyman Racing the largest supplier of driving experiences and events, currently supplying over 200,000 drives per year. We operate from our own facility at the Prestwold driving centre which is based in Leicestershire at our purpose built race circuit. We also operate from many other prestigious race circuits in the U.K such as Goodwood, Brands Hatch, Lydden Hill, Mallory Park and many more locations.

We are now looking for a workshop manager who would be able to take charge of day to day proceedings in our performance vehicle workshop. We are looking for someone that has a background in management and mechanics and an enthusiasm to learn and move the company forward.

Role:

· Lead by example – be prepared to get involved with day to day tasks amongst the mechanics and site team.

· Work well independently or within the team. Always strive to do the best for the company.

· Recruit, train and manage your own team of mechanics and valeters.

· Ensure that business objectives are executed properly and on schedule.

· Oversee the day to day running of the workshop. Plan, organise, control and schedule the day to day activities of the mechanical workshops in association with operational service heads.

· Liaise and negotiate with parts department to ensure parts availability and ensure service exchange and warranty parts procedures are adhered to.

· Ensure the provision and ongoing condition of workshop tools and equipment; arrange purchase, repair and calibration

· Supervise workshop staff and apprentices, including monitoring of timekeeping and productivity, and identifying training needs as well as providing training.

· Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness is maintained within the workshop and tools are in good condition in order to maintain the company image and a safe working environment

· Comply with current workshop and site risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
