The role

The role of the Videographer is to support The Vegan Society in achieving its aims and objectives by producing attention grabbing, meaningful video content which raises awareness of veganism and brings The Vegan Society’s work to life. The work produced will need to be creative and appeal to a variety of audiences and channels, while keeping accessibility in mind. The post-holder will work across a wide range of projects and provide support to multiple teams, including Communications, Campaigns Policy and Research and Business Development departments.

As Videographer you will:

– Work with and support the Communications, Campaigns Policy and Research, and Business Development teams to plan and produce video content that is engaging, effective and relevant.
– Attend and film at events and tradeshows when required.
– Plan, create and edit video content for a number of different channels.
– Ensure all videos are consistent and produced to a high standard, whilst meeting deadlines.
– Work with the Senior Graphic Designer to ensure all video content is in line with our brand guidelines.
– Work with the Communications team to deliver engaging video content for members and membership promotional activity to attract and engage new members and to support member retention.
– Work with the Digital Content Officer and the Vegan Trademark and VEG 1 marketing team to plan and produce video content ideas for social media.
– Work with the Media and PR Officer and the Vegan Trademark and VEG 1 marketing team on video ideas to support relevant press stories.
– Work with the Campaigns Manager to deliver engaging video content for Campaigns projects.
– Be pro-actively develop ideas and in identify opportunities to enhance the work of The Vegan Society by keeping up to date with and showing an interest in the projects each department is working on.
– Manage outsourced media teams for projects and events e.g. the society’s AGM.

To be considered as our Videographer you must have:

– 2 A-Levels or equivalent
– A minimum of 1 year experience in filming and video editing.
– Proficiency in working with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
– Ability to work to a brief and to listen to others.
– Able to work collaboratively in a team, while being confident in asserting own ideas and expertise.
– Good interpersonal skills.
– Ability to adapt to working for variety of different projects and audiences.
– Experience with producing video content with accessibility in mind.
– Knowledge of social media and YouTube
– An interest in veganism and behaviour change
– Appreciation of the ethos of charities and businesses in the vegan sector.

Additional information

This is full time role (37.5 hours per week) role with a salary of £25,356.73 – £26,908.67 per annum

The Vegan Society has adopted hybrid working arrangements for many roles. You will be able to work from home on a regular basis where this is agreed with your line manager and where this arrangement continues to meet the requirements of The Society. Any arrangement for you to work from home is subject to regular review to determine that it suits both you and The Society.
