We are a family owned company established since 1899 and have locations in Guildford, Maidstone, Canterbury & Shoreham representing Vauxhall, Nissan, Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, MG, SEAT, CUPRA, SsangYong and DAF brands. As part of our continued growth plans, we are looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join our Guildford site, as a Technician.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and well-presented person with good time keeping skills, who enjoys working as part of a team, as well as having a keen interest in motor vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who is both professional and a good communicator.
Some of the tasks that the position involves will include:
* Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards
* Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control
* Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work
* Maintaining thorough and up to date product knowledge
* Replacing components
* Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion
* Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics
* Engine tuning equipment to measure performance
* Rectifying faults on customer’s vehicles in a busy workshop
* Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals
You will ideally be both computer literate and educated to a GCSE standard, however lower grades may be considered. The successful candidate will receive competitive pay, full on-going training and the opportunity for career progression
