About the position of UI/UX Designer
The position reports to the Head of Product and working closely with Product Owners, other Designers and Development teams. The design process and design system will be governed by the Senior Designer who will also coach the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for discovering and designing best in class customer experiences across the product estate.
Responsibilities for the role of UI/UX Designer
Working with Product owners to develop and understanding of the product vision aligned with business objectives.
Contributing to initiatives that have the customer at heart, considering both internal and external impacts whilst ensuring it supports our business goals.
Taking the initiative and not waiting for others to make things happen. Take ownership of small to medium sized products.
Being accountable for the delivery of both the design solution and product experience that are in line with the broader product vision, designing principles and the product team's roadmap.
Produce deliverables such as Wireframes, UX Flows, Screen Designs and protypes for desktop, mobile and tablet.
Create user friendly solutions for complex UI interaction problems.
Document assets for hand off and work closely with developers to ensure consistency and quality throughout the product development phase.
Presenting our work to the team for constructive feedback and seeking learning opportunities
Interacting with stakeholders to create well informed, thoughtful solutions for the challenges we face, using the tools you have in your belt as a designer to achieve the best results.Experience required for the role of UI/UX Designer
Have a min of 3 years' experience in related fields such as interactive design, product design, UX design.
Proficient in Figma and adobe creative suite and working with design systems.
Experience of working in an agile software development environment working with user stories ad scrum teams.
Have experience of designing web applications using responsible design frameworks.
At least an elementary understanding of CSS and HTML
Ability to manage the ed to end design process for significant component/features of a live product.
Have a great understanding of UX principles and practices and how and when to apply them.
You have an existing portfolio of work which demonstrates the processes of design decisions and their rationale.
Have a creative and open-minded approach when exploring new ideas, problems, and opportunities.
Qualifications in interactive design, Product Design or UX design are desired but not essential.
