Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £55000 – £60000/annum depending on experience

My client who are a leading ICP are looking for an experienced Tendering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Tendering Manager will be responsible for managing the estimating resources within the business and ensuring accurately / timely cost estimates are produced.

Responsibilities:

* To proactively manage and develop the performance of direct reports and team members.

* Develop a professional and consistent approach for the production of estimates.

* The tendering manager role will be fully accountable in providing accurate / timely professional cost estimates for customer / client enquires.

* To ensure the quoting database is keep updated.

* Ensure monthly and weekly management reports are generated as required.

* Assist with the correct closure of projects including lessons learnt.

* Provide an enquiry document to send out to subcontractors for a competitive price for outsourced work activity

* To work alongside the commercial director in review of contract T&C’s ensuring suitable terms are referenced on all quotations.

* To perform all duties in line with the Company’s HSQE Policies and Procedures

* To work to challenging deadlines on providing estimates for approval

* To manage interface with Business Development roles and ensure conflicting priorities are satisfactorily resolved

* To work alongside the project managers / design engineers when handing over new projects and reviewing variations.

* Direct management responsibility to tendering staff

* Approval of estimates up to £200,000.

* The tendering manager role will be fully accountable to the commercial director

The person carrying out this role is likely to be a highly mobile, motivated, and experienced with a proven track record of supporting teams in a demanding customer focused environment.

The ability to work under pressure and achieve challenging deadlines is essential.

Excellent communicator at all levels with the ability to build good working relationships both within the company and with external customers.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate;

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel.

* Good written, verbal and presentation skills.

* Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to motivate staff to meet tight deadlines.

* Well organised, tidy worker with good work presentation skills

* Supportive team player with the ability to positively interact with both technical and commercially orientated staff, possibly outside own area of expertise.

* Strong organisational and work management skills.

* Excellent influencing and communication skills coupled with the ability to engage with staff at all levels in the organisation.
