Technical Writer
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £45 – £50/hour
Technical Writer- London- 12 Months- £45-£50 ph PAYE
A global technology company are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join their team on an initial 12 month assignment. The successful candidate will part of a technical writing team responsible for the quality, discoverability and accuracy of developer- focused content for both internal and external technologies. You will do research and obtain necessary technical content from subject matter experts while translating it into clear, concise, structured documentation.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain internal and external documentation for technologies and tolls used within the business
Work closely with engineering, product and support teams to ensure the quality, discoverability and accuracy of the content you create and develop
Design, write and edit technical and process documentation
Navigate through multiple platforms such as web, iOS and Android
Create and maintain code sample fragments and sample appsRequired Skills:
BA/BS degree in computer science, technical writing, physics, mathematics or chemistry
5+ years experience in writing, technical documentation and/or developer outreach for a developer audience
Basic knowledge of programming
Experience writing and testing simple sample code
Ability to read and understand sample code
