Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £1 – £40000/annum

The Role:

This role covers the management, maintenance and support of all Infrastructure Hosting responsibilities within the CUH account. At this role level, employees will be expected to deliver against a set of responsibilities as agreed with Level 3 Technical Services Colleagues. The successful candidate will have good general troubleshooting skills. While employees at this level will receive instruction or assistance in technical areas as required to extend and grow their experience, they will be expected to work independently and use their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision of support, both remotely and at customer premises working with computer users to resolve problems and answer questions on a variety of hardware components and software programs.

• Other relevant and appropriate activities as required.

• In addition to the above duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.

Skills & Experience:

• Good working knowledge with regards to the administration and troubleshooting of the following Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, File Services, Certificate Services, Server Administration 2008 and above)

• Good working knowledge of a server backup technology

• Good working knowledge of incident, problem and change management

• Good working knowledge of Server patching techniques and toolsets

• Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting techniques

• A working knowledge of general networking (e.g. routing, firewall, wireless AP)

Essential:

• Good working knowledge with virtual server technologies e.g. VMWare.

• Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server

• Good understanding of Exchange 2016 technologies

• Good understanding of the Citrix Virtualisation technology suite.

• Good understanding of Enterprise/Event Management

• An understanding of Datacentre Management

• An understanding of Enterprise/Event Management

• An understanding of Linux technologies

Hours:

The nominal working week is 37.5 hours, although a degree of flexibility is both offered and expected. In specific circumstances there may be a requirement to work additional hours.
