Team Leader Production
Holbeach/Spalding location this food production company grow and process fresh veg for supply to supermarkets around the UK.
The day shift is the busiest of the shifts. As the Team Leader / Supervisor, you will be responsible for about 20 staff in total. Mainly production operators with key operators and Machine Operators as well. You will be reporting to the Day Shift Manager and will help in the smooth day to day running and planning of your room. The shift itself only works 7 days in 14 and is a 2 / 3 system.
The shifts are 0700 – 1900 and there is overtime payable on extra hours.
This is a great opportunity to work within this niche veg business. Specialising in the production of veg such as kale and leeks, they grow as well as process with growers being local as well as in Spain. Everyday is busy and comes with its own rewards and challenges.
As a Team Leader / Area Leader / Mini Supervisor / Section Lead (take your pick), you will report to the overall Shift Supervisor. We are looking for someone with strong influencing skills, able to lead the team to performing at their best. A people person who will lead by example with strong motivation skills.

You will ensure that everyone know the plan for the day, goods in and production out. All staff are fully trained and competent. That output is high with wastage being low. The shifts can contain large numbers of agency staff during peak periods and you will need to know they know what they are doing.
You will be:
• Ensuring the shift runs as smoothly as possible
• Near miss investigations
• Planning people
• Planning output
• Reporting errors, HSE and people issues
With strong planning, leadership and influencing skills you will be first on hand for any problems as they arise.
