Teaching Assistant
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £75 – £100/day
Teach Now are looking for experienced teaching assistants who are looking for long term/permanent positions this term, this role in particular will require you to work with a girl in year 3 with autism and speech and language difficulties in the borough of Barnet, the closest train station is Colindale which is on the Northern Line and is a 8 minute walk away from the school, the school also has free paqrking outside on site and outside the school gates.
This is an 'Outstanding' school with students from KS2 working above the national average, this school are known for taking on staff on a permanent basis once they have passed a probation period. One of my members of staff I placed there 2 years ago are now doing their teacher training at the school and will be working as a qualified teacher by September 2021. The school like staff that have the relevant experience but also value personality and work ethic, if you have a lack of experience but are keen to work within a special needs environment please feel free to apply. The role is to start March 2021 and will you will be needed Monday – Friday 830 – 4
As a specialist LSA, successful candidates will need the following experience and skills:
•Experience working within the child care sector
•Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
•Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
•Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children.
•Experience in personal care such as feeding and changing.
•PECS and Makaton experience
