Systems Administrator – Central London Location – Salary circa £60,000 – £68,000 pa

This fast paced international Post Production company in London provides world leading services and solutions for the Film & Entertainment industry. Now seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who enjoys working within a diverse and highly agile environment, Candidates must be natural problem solvers who understand the criticality of service uptime and client service environments.

Role Summary:

Key responsibilities include maintaining integrity of the network, servers and workstations deployed within a Linux/Unix/Windows/MacOS environment, whilst keeping a close eye on security. Developing and supporting the VMs, system imaging and centralised configuration management systems and systems development. Providing input on the design and implementation of projects, becoming an intrinsic part of their success.

With a broad range of post services and platforms, global reach, teamworking and outlook, the candidate must be a self-motivated team player, prepared to share knowledge and help develop the skills of others across both the UK team and across the wider group.

Skills & Experience:

Proven track record of resolving basic issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and basic networking concepts.
Administer key services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Authentication
Work alongside and support the global development team
Experience of configuration management using Salt stack is useful
Proficient with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems
Active Directory configuration management and integration
IP Switches, Routers and Firewalls (Juniper/Mellanox/Fortinet) knowledge a bonus
Good documentation and communication skills. Agile knowledge is beneficial
Deployment infrastructure knowledge, such as docker and docker-compose on VMware (vSphere), AWS, Azure. Using Git CI/CD
Experience running webservers, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), MQ (RabbitMQ) beneficial
A broad experience base and technical hands on approach is expected, with solid system administration fundamentals and the ability to be an independent thinker and problem solver.
