Sustainability Manager – Fresh Produce

Salary : £50000 – £60000/annum + relocation
We currently offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Fresh Produce supplier, who are at the forefront of their product categories within the industry. We are seeking a Sustainability Manager to work within the technical division of the business, with a dedicated Sustainability focus.
The opportunity of Sustainability Manager will report to the Head of Technical and become a key member of the team. The Sustainability role will assist in managing 4 key areas; Food Waste, Energy & Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions, Sustainable Agriculture, and Sustainability Insights, Data & Reporting.
Responsibilities include;
Manage and coordinate the publication of sustainability impact reports (food waste, greenhouse emissions and packaging) to demonstrate company performance and delivery against legislative, customer and UN SDG industry commitments
Support the Head of Technical to deliver ad-hoc sustainability impact reporting requests, QVIS reports, presentations or undertake research as required
Attend and actively participate in relevant customer and industry webinars, seminars and conferences, reporting pertinent insights and next steps back to the business effectively
Compile sustainability KPI reports and conduct analysis using Excel, the internal Business Intelligence software (Business Objects) reporting system and Power Point to present sustainability impacts and environmental benefits in a clear, succinct, and engaging style.
We require;
A Graduate with a relevant Environmental Science / Geography / Agronomy Degree, with exposure to climate change, food waste, sustainable agriculture / manufacturing
A demonstrable track record working in a Sustainability role within the Fresh Produce / Food / Agricultural sectors
Knowledge of Environmental Management Standard
Experience in sustainability or environmental roles in UK
Good computer knowledge especially MS Office package
Effective time management with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
3rd party audit skills
Hours; Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm, with some flexibility required
