Support & Implementation Consultant – Accounting software

Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £32000 – £35000/annum + private health

This is a super opportunity for an Application Support Consultant, or a Junior Software Consultant, or an Implementation Consultant with accounting / ERP software experience, or an Accounts Assistant or Accountant. It is a varied hybrid role, to work with a cloud accounting & finance solution and do a bit of everything, whether that is demoing the software, getting the client requirements, providing application support, running workshops, testing the software or training the end users. So you need to be versatile, happy to have a go at all aspects of software implementation and support, and have the right personality to engage with your clients and the confidence to run webinars, or demo the solutions. To £35k plus private health care.

So they would be happy to look at Application Support people or Implementation Consultants, or at back office accounting people who have a qualification such as AAT, ACCA or FCA and are looking to move into software implementation, training and support.

This vibrant, busy software company is based just on the outskirts of Bristol and they are happy for you to split your work between home and the office, although in reality you would probably go into the office one or two days a week. So you need to live within a 90 minute drive of Bristol / South Wales. Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester, Newport, Cheddar, Weston-Super-Mare etc. would all be good areas for you to live.

You will be working with the latest state-of-the-art accounting software delivered solely in the cloud and available for desktop, tablets and mobiles – accounting software on the go. You will work with their clients and will learn all aspects of software implementation and consulting from software support, to installation of the accounting software and client training via WebEx or face to face at their offices or sometimes on client site.

You will talk to the clients about how they would use the accounting software and what their requirements are, run workshops to understand their business, then ensure that the software is configured and tested to suit their needs, and guide them through the installation stages and help them with their software queries and problems. You would also write training documents, build long term relationships with your clients and make suggestions as to how they can make the most of the software and their investment.

So you need to be someone who likes talking to people over the phone and face-to-face, understands accounting and accounting software, is flexible and happy to muck in and get involved with all aspects of the business, and wants to work in the IT software implementation and support field. You will be outgoing, ambitious and positive, happy to share your knowledge, work hard and have fun at the same time.

If you already have experience implementing or supporting accounting software solutions, then so much the better and you will be able to fast track your career. But they are happy to train you up in those aspects if you have the accounting knowledge (accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledgers etc.) and the right personality to become a Software Consultant.
