UK agriculture has one of the highest crop yields in the world, this is due to the continuous innovation by British Farmers. At S&A we use biological control methods and modern growing technologies using the latest scientific breakthroughs.
We have been expanding rapidly in recent years, adoption of polytunnels and table-top growing has allowed us to extend our growing season considerably.
We are currently recruiting for Strawberry Pickers to work at our farm in Marden, Herefordshire.
The minimum amount you will be paid is £8.91 per hour, however, you can increase your earnings by exceeding productivity targets or moving into a skilled position.
The minimum contract length is 3 months but there is no limit on how long you can stay and work for us.
You will be guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week, however, on average our pickers are working 45 hours and there is an expectation that you will work 40 hours as a minimum.
You don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, just the willingness to complete hard, physically demanding work, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and able to start work as early as 0400.
We have on-site accommodation available so you do not need to live local to our site.
