HydroSure Global LTD, a market-leading Horticultural business is seeking an enthusiastic Stock Controller to join our team. HyrdoSure is the Horticulture and Water Irrigation side of ChoiceShops Ltd.

This is an exciting opportunity and brand-new role in our growing team in Telford. This permanent position is well suited to someone who is well organised with a stock control planning background.

In this role you’ll be a multi-skilled member of the Horticulture team, enhancing the overall service we provide to the customer. You will work closely with our warehouse team, customer services, and procurement functions to deliver upon requests and build a strong relationship with suppliers. Maintaining strong communication through these channels will be essential to meet the required delivery timeframes.

As a rapidly expanding business, you will be joining the company at an exciting time, as we roll out ambitious plans to increase our market share.

Key Responsibilities

As our Stock Controller, you will be responsible for:

* Working closely with Buyers to support the growth of our own label brands

* Forecasting of sales and stock requirement, production planning (UK and long lead time suppliers)

* Reporting and data analysis – which will feed into the monthly board packs

* Development of department weekly cover by supplier document

* Ownership of stock levels, Open to Buy figure and overseeing availability figures

* Understand the replenishment ordering process (and place orders in the absence of stock buyer)

* Identifying margin improvement and category growth opportunities

* Identifying slow sellers, problem lines and taking appropriate action where necessary

* Planning promotional activity and stock levels to support

* Liaising with new and existing suppliers, escalating delivery/other issues as they arise to help resolve

* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and driving actions to implement innovation

* Maintain awareness of competitor activity

* Liaising with all teams within the business: Buying, Digital Merchandising, Marketing, Warehouse, Finance, Customer Service, I.T, CEO

* Seeking and delivering continuous innovations for our customers

* Supporting the team and wider business with ad-hoc tasks and projects when required

Requirements:

Bright, with a track record of academic and non-academic achievements – please include all academic qualifications and grades awarded with your application.

Job Specific Requirements:

* A background in successfully managing the supply chain from UK, EU, Far East and further afield

* Ideal experience in a seasonal business

* Highly numerate with great academic results

* Able to analyse data and make quick commercial decisions based on information available

* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and business calculations

* A problem solver and task orientated

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Organised and able to manage own workload, prioritise and multi-task

* Proactive takes ownership and focused

* A passion to succeed and deliver outstanding results

* Confident, resilient and professional

* A great team player with a 'can do' attitude
