Our client, a large international Broadcast and Media company, are seeking a multi-skilled Solution Architect to join their team. This role would be on a contract basis (inside IR35) working from their office in London and offers a competitive day rate on a contract running until November 2023 (with opportunity for extension) This role would be ideal for someone with solutions design experience within the Playout domain who is looking to work on several large-scale projects for a prestigious company.
The Solution Architect would be responsible for:
Working with customers and presales teams to fully understand and define solution requirements in close collaboration with Platforms teams, scope, define and design solutions which integrate and reuse capabilities across Access Services, Content Discovery services, Broadcast & Media services, OTT and Media Hive services
Translating customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
Ensuring solutions offered are aligned with Client business goals and strategy; work with the Enterprise Architects to understand the technical strategy and blueprints as well as the technical inventory or capabilities which exist
Throughout the project lifespan, report to Project Manager on issues, risks and mitigation plans related to the Solution delivery
Develop high quality technical presentations and provide customer presentations to support project execution, and potential growth through change requests
Providing necessary documentation or knowledge for operational teams to be able to self-serve for training and support functions
Liaising with the implementation and operations teams to deliver and support solutions involving, but not limited to, WAN, LAN, Video Streaming Multicast, Security, WLAN and Virtual (e.g. Virtualization, SDN, NFV) technologies
Analysing, evaluating, and communicating network capacity and performance data with the objective of driving improvements to the clients' networks
Providing Matrix supervision of a team for specific projects, resource management, process documentation, and peer mentoring
Creating and deliver network designs (HLD), statements of work, and technical project plans incorporating service and program management activities
We would welcome applicants with the following skills and experience:
3+ years' experience of designing Solutions in the following Technology domain: Playout
Experience of designing Solutions in one or more of the following Technology domains is also preferrable: Access Services, Content Discovery, Playout, MCR, Production, Media Management, Post-Production, Contribution and Distribution
Demonstrable experience in successfully navigating complex, matrix organizations
Capability to interpret customer requirements and map them to technical capabilities to deliver the required outcome
Translating customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements
