Morson Projects are currently looking for a Software Engineer to support our Aerospace client in Yeovil. We are keen to speak with graduate level candidates as well as senior engineers who are suitable or would like more information.
This role has been deemed Outside of IR35 legislation.
Joining our established team, the successful Software developers will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a number of bespoke software solutions, utilised by customers to ensure Helicopter fleet availability.
Working as part of our team the Software Engineer will build on the existing capability to deliver enhanced functionality, increased efficiency / supportability and tailored user experiences to customers. Fundamental to this role is the ability to interpret both internal and external customer requirements and translate into a deliverable solution.
As the Software Engineer you will be responsible for populating and interrogating database structures via web-based applications to:
* Effectively capture and structure aircraft in-service data.
* Analyse and visualise of the data to provide actionable business insight.
* Compile existing structured data to generate approved airworthiness documentation.
Qualified in a Computer Science, Systems Engineering or Software Engineering discipline the successful candidates will ideally demonstrate some of the following experience;
* Ability to create and maintain requirements in Doors
* Ability to design and document complex solutions with familiarity of UML
* Proficient in implementing software for web delivered applications. C#, ASP.Net, MVC, jQuery, AngularJS
* Proficient in implementing software for Microsoft client application. C#, WPF, MVVM, Wix.
* Proficient in development of multi thread applications with large data handling/processing
* Proficient in structured mark-up languages, SGML, XML
* Proficient in data manipulation languages, including XSL, XSLT, XSL-FO,
* Proficient in relational database development:
* To create advanced SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers
* In improving and optimising SQL queries and indexes
* To carry out data migration within SSDT
* Familiarity in data warehouse using the Microsoft stack:
* Knowledge of ETL and usage of SSIS
* Ability to create DMX queries and optimise current ones
* Knowledge on creating/maintaining Cubes with usage of the Analysis Service
* Knowledge of the Kimball method
* Familiarity on developing unit testing
* Understanding of networks, systems and security requirements
* Passionate on learning and adoption of new technology stacks to satisfy evolving requirements such as R, Python or Cloud computing.
