In a Nutshell:

As our Social Media and PR Officer you will be delivering consumer PR and social media activity and answering press office enquiries. You will need to be a self-starter, creative and have a service-minded approach to staff, regional departments and customer communications, whilst remaining focused on delivering clear and consistent external messaging for the Group. The role also requires you to demonstrate and represent the core values of the company through their communication output and behaviour. You will work with Head of Communications, Group Marketing, Regional PR agencies, wider regional and Group teams.

What we would like from you:

Key Responsibilities –

Creating and delivering clear, impactful communication to external audiences in order to (among other things) promote our brands, manage Vistry's reputation and support local marketing efforts.
Delivering and developing Vistry's consumer-facing social media strategy, including daily posts to engage with our audiences across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest and LinkedIn platforms to promote our brands.
Seeking opportunities to engage with social media influencers to promote our brands.
Managing incoming queries/complaints via social media in liaison with regional teams.
Proactively seeking opportunities for PR, including liaising with regions and local marketing teams to source good news stories, and support the development of marketing programmes.
Handling media enquiries and providing a professional service on behalf of the company.
Support other communications activity across the business to offer in-house efficiencies and deliver maximum communication impact – from land buying to build to customer care
Ensure communications are 'on message' regarding the company values and policies.
Daily maintenance of Vistry brands' social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn accounts
Working with local sales teams, regions and Group PR to create content for social media channels in line with the social media strategy.
Monitoring these accounts as appropriate, including out of hours where necessary
Handling incoming queries and complaints in line with the strategy with a view to effective reputational management, liaising with relevant regional departments – especially customer care – to escalate as required
Working with influencers, running competitions to increase engagement and followers in line with annual targets
Identify opportunities for development and improvement of social media approach and benchmark against competitor activity, including keeping up-to-date with emerging social media platforms and latest trends.
Producing monthly report with summary and analysis of social media activity
Proactively contact teams and individuals in the business and take a journalistic approach to sourcing and disseminating good news stories
Develop and implement development-specific PR programmes through liaison with the regional marketers and local sales teams.
Write press releases, organise photography and video, target channels and distribute materials in support of the programmes.
Deal with media enquiries in a positive and timely manner, liaising with the appropriate individuals within the company.
Support other external communication requirements such as liaising with regional land/planning teams in delivering consultation programmes (incl leverage of the 106 contributions at a local and regional level)
Support for other PR and marketing activities in the department where required, including writing copy for campaigns, in addition to press releases
