Job Title: Event Manager/Senior Event Manager
Responsible to: Event Director
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 plus generous bonus
This role is a full time position and requires a minimum of 3 days working from the office based in London. Flexible working hours are also available.

In our industry they have won over thirty major awards in the last seven years including the coveted Best Business Exhibition seven times.
Objective of the job:
* Responsible for the shows daily performance working alongside the Event Director in leading the team across all disciplines.
* Assisting the Event Director to ensure tactics are produced to manage the event program and budgets as well as resources and staff.
* Work with the Event Director to ensure the success of high profile events whilst maximising profits.
* Liaise with other departments such as operations, marketing and the show team to ensure the smooth running of the event as well as planning and post event responsibilities.
* With the Event Director, manage the show budgets ensuring no overspend and maximum profitability for the business.
* Support company senior management team with the smooth running of the company as and when required.
Role responsibilities:
Brands
* Implement and execute the Event Director and teams strategy and objectives outlined in the event’s business plan
* Implements and executes the event’s brand strategy, ensuring the event maintains and increases its relevance to its market/s, and it meets visitor and exhibitor expectations
* Manage the event floor plan
Financial
* Work with credit control to ensure that the PO process is adhered to and any anomalies in the monthly management accounts are spotted early and acted upon
* Build and maintain an accurate stand and sponsorship ledger
* Regularly reconcile sales ledger, accounting ledgers and CRM sales logs
General Management
* Day to day management of the sales team
* Set clear goals and objectives for all reporting staff
* Set, monitor and evaluate performance targets (with the aid of CRM applications)
* Complete (alongside Event Director) annual and mid-term staff appraisals as necessary
* Assess, develop and coach all reporting staff (including identifying bespoke training needs of individuals where necessary)
* Coach and develop the team in all aspects of their roles, creating transition map to expanded roles and promotion where appropriate
Operations
* Work with the operations team to execute the operations strategy that meets/comes in under budget while ensuring high levels of exhibitor and delegate experiences and production values are maintained
Marketing
* Work with the marketing team to help deliver the event marketing strategy which meets overall visitor numbers (with the right demographics), feature content, visitor and acquisition costs
* With the Event Director develop an exhibitor campaign strategy including vertical and horizontal activity
* With the Event Director and Marketing Director appoint contractors/suppliers/agencies required
* Conduct press/TV and radio interviews as necessary
Sales
* Manage the event sales staff and where appropriate sales contractors
* Lead by example – beyond team target, also responsible for delivering personal sales targets across the event under your management
* Develop a campaign strategy with the Event Director that meets and exceeds targets including overall numbers of exhibitors, exhibitor mix, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, yield and sponsorship revenues
* Support the sales team in developing new revenues streams and creative and complex sales such as sponsor
* With the Event Director run and manage the rebook process and rebook team
* Ensure a constant high quality of delivery in all prospect, exhibitor and partner communication ensuring the message is on point.
