Description:

Reporting to the Web and Digital Manager, the postholder will be responsible for supporting and deputising for the Web and Digital Manager in maintaining and developing the University website; the University’s primary external marketing, recruitment and communications channel and will be the technical lead for the development, maintenance and integration of the University’s Content Management System (CMS) and all sub-systems that exist as part of that platform.

What will you be doing?

* Acting as the technical lead in the development, maintenance and integration of the University website and its associated microsites, liaising with members of Student Recruitment and Admissions, Information and Technology Services, and other departments as appropriate.

* Leading the development and use of statistics monitoring software across the University website, social media and any other digital marketing platforms, assisting the Web and Digital Manager in the most effective manipulation and use of the data. Reporting on and evaluating digital marketing activities to ensure they support the marketing and communications strategy.

* Working alongside colleagues in Information and Technology Services to integrate new website technologies with existing University systems and liaising with the Information and Technology Services infrastructure team regarding server issues, upgrades, etc.

Key Responsibilities/About you

* Expert knowledge of all current web development languages, scripting, databases and security issues but in particular, excellent knowledge of PHP and front end JavaScript, jQuery, CSS along with SQL and MySQL.

* Extensive experience of Search Engine Optimisation and its technical implementation along with User Experience design

* Good understanding and awareness of data regulations, (GDPR), CMA legislation.

* Drupal specific experience is advantageous
