We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Design Draughtsman to join an award winning multi-million-pound engineering company based in West Yorkshire.
Essential to apply
* Experienced Tekla Structures draughtsperson (minimum 5 years)
* Structural and secondary steelwork detailing – should have experience with stairs and ladders
* Will involve carrying out modifications to existing steelwork as well as modelling and detailing of new structures
* Experience conducting site surveys
* Understanding of workshop procedures and fabrication drawing requirements
* Experience creating GA and erection drawings
* Experience incorporating models from other disciplines into Tekla to facilitate construction
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
* To design and produce fabrication packages for a variety of solutions i.e. platforms, pipework and vessel supports, access stairways and ladders
* Precise and readable technical drawings for projects, produce 3D concept drawings and liaise with clients to ensure they meet their requirements.
* Good organisational skills, attention to detail and communication skills are essential.
* A full driving licence is essential as the role involves regular site visits.
* Survey experience would be an advantage.
* The wide variety of work carried out within the company requires the right candidate to design a varied range of general steelwork up to one off skids and full scale plant models.
