Are you an experienced and passionate photographer looking for a permanent in-house studio role that you can call home?
Powerhouse is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our clients – an award-winning fast-growing Leeds-based home decor brand & retailer.
Senior Photographer – What’s the role?
As Senior Photographer you will be part of an amazing, creative bunch of people who are passionate about their brand and their products. You will take a lead role in producing high quality, stunning imagery that aligns to the commercial and creative vision.
You will be hands on from day one, demonstrating your creative flair and your technical photography skills, building friendly and professional relationships internally.
Key Responsibilities will include:
• Shooting product photography to a high standard to support online sales
• Interpreting a brief, offering creative guidance, and building excellent internal client relationships with the e-commerce and brand managers
• Translating briefs into workable production plans considering pre and postproduction, space, equipment, and time.
• Driving the creative output of the studio primarily using photography, and with a view towards introducing other formats including video.
• Quality control of all the content produced.
• Developing the capability of the whole studio to produce motion content.
Senior Photographer – What are we looking for?
• We are looking for someone with energy and a passion for creating stunning imagery for our customers.
• You will have proven experience in product, lifestyle and studio set photography in a commercial studio setting with good working knowledge of relevant software – preferably Capture One Pro and/or Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
• You will have experience in studio lighting, preferably studio flash systems
• You will have an interest in exploring motion content with a willingness to learn and develop skills in videography and editing
• You like to be organised, can work independently, prioritising your daily workload, keeping calm working under pressure and to deadlines
• You focus on the customer, both the end external buyer of the products and your internal colleagues as customers.
• You enjoy generating ideas and can apply creativity to a commercial brief. You are passionate about current styles, trends and innovation in photography and love to try new and innovative ways of working.
