An exciting new opportunity has opened for an Senior Landscape construction Manager  in Peterborough area Salary (negotiable). We are looking for an ambitious individual four our client ensuring all services are delivered to a high standard which meets customer expectations. The Assistant Operation manage will work to their own initiative and as part of a team identifying opportunities for improvement.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE: 

As the Senior Landscape Construction Manager and department lead you will play a key role in leading the delivery of public realm construction and soft landscaping projects from £10,000 to £1m.
The main part of the role will require communication with the development of existing relationships with clients of the company, and creation of new clients and building relationships, (in addition presentation of our other services within the Group where applicable)
Leading our Landscape Construction team and part of a senior management team including Grounds Maintenance, Arboriculture and Environmental Services heads of department, this varied role will involve taking projects at their pre-construction phase; informing the final stages of the design process, and resolving the practical limitations of the design in relation to the existing built environment on site.
In addition to the project-specific responsibilities, the Senior Landscape Construction Manager with the support of a Landscape Delivery Operations Manager, Estimator and with the development of the department a (future Junior Estimator) will be responsible for the submission of monthly valuations for their projects and for efficient and effective cost control of the projects which they are managing. This will include, but not be limited to, auditing and managing the buying on projects and measuring the project to determine any variation costs.
The Senior Landscape Construction Manager will be responsible for assessing our resource requirements; interviewing and recruiting staff and managing their training and development on site within this department, liaising with the Operations Director.
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum 5 years industry experience and proven, demonstrable sales record
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project
CSCS desirable
Driving Licence
IOSH desirable
Horticultural qualification 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing assigned project budgets and delivering agreed financial performance, sales and net profit targets
Development of existing relationships with clients and creation of new clients through promotion of the department
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of each of our pending and active projects including, but not limited to, the scope of works, programme, tender documentation and contract particulars
Production and overseeing of contract programmes using Microsoft Project; monitoring, amending and updating project operations accordingly and advising of any potential delays to the client team
Preparation of tender documentation; cost analyses; early-stage budgets; detailed cost plans; bills of quantities and procurement plans
Championing of and ensuring compliance with our site-specific company policies and procedures
Managing the Company's requirements under the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accredited schemes and ensuring compliance with those requirements
Ensuring that all projects are managed effectively and safely to comply with all aspects of the current health and safety regulations, including completion Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Leading the Projects Management team in presenting and mentoring on the delivery of toolbox talks
Liaising with the client, design teams and project stakeholders
Ensuring the department is efficient by ensuring project timescales are delivered and as to specification and plan.
Liaison with the Delivery Operations Manager in relation to timesheets, attendance and reporting of any absences to HR, as well as illnesses, health issues and safety issues which may affect the smooth running of the projects or the safety of our staff
Sourcing of materials and subcontractors, negotiating prices and placing orders as required
Mentoring others in the adherence to the Company's procedures and quality practices
Managing the quality of the delivery of the projects to ensure that the reputation of the Company is maintained and enhanced
Promotion of the company at all times
