Location: American Express Elite Performance Centre, Lancing
Salary: Salary dependant on skills & experience
Hours: 40 hours per week to be worked across 5 days per week to include some weekends

Senior Grounds Person – The Role:
Working as part of the Grounds team at our Elite Performance Centre in Lancing, the post holder will supervise the day to day works programmes at each venue to ensure the pitches and other associated areas are in a suitable condition for elite performance use. The post holder will work under the direction of the Deputy Head Grounds Persons with day to day technical direction from the Pitch and Grounds Manager.
Senior Grounds Person – What does the day to day look like?
Your day to day duties will be varied (to keep you on your toes) and can vary between operating machinery associated with sports pitch and grounds maintenance, to carrying out general administration tasks to support the deputy head grounds staff. The post holder will work closely with Deputy Head Grounds Persons to supervise the implementation of the works programme across all venues the Club are utilising.
Senior Grounds Person – What we need:
Given the nature of this role, it is essential for the successful candidate to hold to following qualifications:
– Sports Turf maintenance to a minimum level 2 certification
– N.P.T.C. PA1, PA6 and PA2 certificates in Pesticide Usage
– Qualified in the driving/operation of agricultural motor vehicles
The ideal candidate will also be a member of the Grounds Manager Association.
