Visitors to Newby Hall can enjoy the 25 acres of award-winning gardens, full of rare and beautiful plants.
We are currently looking for a Senor Gardener to help assist maintain our spectacular grounds
The Role includes:
* As Senior Gardener, in conjunction with the Head Gardener, you will be responsible for the management of the Glasshouses and Nursery that service the garden at Newby Hall.
* Taking care of the numerous houseplants that are displayed in the Hall and provide seasonal potted plant displays.
* Outside of the Nursery, you will work with the wider gardening team in developing and maintaining the 25 acre garden to a high standard.
Experience and Skills required for the role:
* You will possess great plant knowledge.
* Experience in propagation and overseeing a garden-based nursery and experience of wider horticultural practices such as pruning, planting and border maintenance.
* You will hold a recognised horticultural qualification, RHS Level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience in the safe operation of a range of garden machinery and a Pa1/6 spraying certificate is desirable.
