The Company
* Our client is a leading supplier of machinery, tools and parts into the Hire, Construction and Industrial sectors.
* They are seeking a strategic, hands-on and results-driven Sales & Marketing Director to join their expanding organization.
The Role
* Strategic responsibility for growth and development of sales across the relevant market sectors and implementation of growth objectives.
* Overall management of the sales team supporting, mentoring and managing activity.
* Developing strategy and managing marketing and e-commerce activity defining a clear direction and goals
* Identifying commercial opportunities through introduction of new products and markets in order to develop group trading performance.
* Achieving and managing delivery of sales growth targets for all products and services.
* Recruiting, coaching, and developing Sales Team together with managing individual performance.
* Leading from the front spending a proportion of time in the field with sales team building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships across all areas of the business.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key supplier partners.
* Communicating and maintaining working relationships across all areas of the business.
* Part of the senior leadership team and contributing to the overall management of operations.
* Reporting sales performance and presenting at board level.
The Candidate
* A successful and strategic Sales & Marketing Director able to create vision with a track record of leadership resulting in sales growth.
* Demonstrable track record of leading sales teams to deliver against revenue targets.
* Proven experience in leading, managing, mentoring, supporting and directing sales teams.
* Ideally experienced within the core markets; hire, construction or industrial sales.
* A natural leader who is people oriented and has a highly collaborative working style.
* Experienced with marketing and ecommerce strategy.
* Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others.
* Ambitious, with the determination to drive a sales team to generate business and achieve targets.
