My client is a family run specialist commercial cleaning company, who operate across the South of England. They provide a wide range of soft FM services for a broad portfolio of clients including organisations in the healthcare, retail and commercial sectors. They have grown impressively over the last four years and currently have a turnover of approaching £8m. I am currently partnering with them to find a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Manager to join their friendly, hardworking, and professional team to add further strength to the company’s sales function.
The purpose of the role is to sell contract cleaning and associated soft FM services in the region comprising of the M4 corridor (Bristol, Cardiff, Reading etc) and the M5 corridor (Gloucester, Birmingham etc) and pretty much anywhere north of the Thames and south of the Birmingham area. The role holder will have free reign to target the sectors they choose whether it be healthcare, commercial, manufacturing, retail etc. The initial sales target will be £500k per annum. The role offers flexibility for the role holder to either operate from home with visits to the office or working out the office.
For this role candidates should be able to demonstrate previous success in the sale of contract cleaning sector or have experience in a similar market with a similar clientbase such as hygiene and reside in the required area. Possess an excellent knowledge of the entire sales cycle from initial lead finding through to tendering and closing the sale, possess an excellent market knowledge and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A UK driving licence is a must.
Salary basic £30k, commission 10% of net profit on year 1 of the contract, vehicle, phone laptop, NEST pension and 20 days holidays plus bank holidays.
