JOB TITLE: Transport Planner
We are looking for a Transport Planner for a busy Logistics Hub in Nottingham
SALARY: Negotiable dependent on experience. £22K – £25K
HOURS OF WORK: 05.00am – 15.00pm
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To generally support the traffic department with operational assistance, to ensure the briefing and de-briefing of drivers is as streamline as possible. To ensure customers receive a good overall service.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*To monitor traffic operations and to change the planning where appropriate
*To ensure the fleet is running profitably
*To ensure customers receive any information they require (times etc.)
*To brief and de-brief drivers
*To ensure trailers are managed properly
*To assist in the management of driver infringements
*To assist in the management of driver CPC courses
*To ensure fleet maintenance appointments are planned in and kept up to date
*To provide reports to management of any issues that need raising
*Any adhock administration relating to the transport operation
