Our client is an Irish, family-owned fresh food company established more then 30 years ago who specialise in both traded and value-add fresh food products. They have a number of locations around Munster employing over 60 people with a turnover of around €50 mil. They are a premium end of the market food business leading the way in terms of new modern facilities and GMP standards.
Role Summary
Full responsibility for the delivery of the company’s Sales Budget at Turnover and Gross Profit Level. As the Commercial Sales Manager you will also need to ensure the most profitable usage of Stock while maintaining overall stock levels within agreed limits.

Responsibilities
* Management of the Sales Team.
* Management of Contractual Obligations – supplier and customer.
* Reporting on a monthly basis of Sales Performance vs Budget.
* Setting Annual Sales Targets with individual team members.
* Ensure good relations with Suppliers as well as Customers.
* Ensure adequate face to face customer and supplier visits and meetings (3-4 times/year minimum).
* Management of Gross Profit expectations.
* Authorise all stock purchases and monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply.
* Ensuring that buying activity is done in line with best buying acumen (leverage the company’s market knowledge and customer/supplier relationships).
* Generation of new business against the annual growth target.
* Achievement of own Sales Target.
* Ensure Sales Team each reach their agreed sales targets and purchase targets.
* Adhere to and promote the Values and Behaviours of the company.
* Ensure the professional development of the Sales Team in line with company requirements.
Requirements
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in dairy (ideally including milk powders and proteins) or relevant FMCG industry in sales or key account management.
* Ability to interact effectively with customers (on a strategic, relationship, negotiation and technical level).
* Strong commercial effectiveness – ability to understand customer needs, commodity markets, decide strategy and negotiate large and/or complex deals.
* Ability to communicate customer and market needs to colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues to provide customer solutions.
* Able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Full driving license.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
Remuneration
