Sauce People are working exclusively with Ward CNC to hire a customer-focused, professional and driven Regional Sales Manager for the Yorkshire region.
Ward CNC is a privately-owned business employing 34 people and is one of the leading specialists in the supply and support of new and reconditioned high technology CNC metalworking machine tools to the UK’s advanced engineering sector and to export markets abroad. It operates from two sites; the Head Office in Sheffield, with workshop and showroom facilities and a modern purpose-built machinery showroom, workshop and technical centre in Redditch, Worcestershire. With almost 140 years heritage along with extensive experience in the machine tool industry the company enjoys a reputation as one of the UK's leading machinery suppliers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Achieving agreed targets of CNC Machine sales within your region, through effective management of key customers, and the identification of new business opportunities for Ward CNC.
* Accurately recording customer and competitor activity into the CRM (Salesforce) to enable a data-driven, strategic approach to sales & marketing.
* Support the marketing team by providing real-time information from the market, allowing them to take a strategic approach to sector-specific activity.
* Forge relationships with various level stakeholders within your customers to maximise immediate opportunities and more accurately forecast future business.
* Take a professional approach to running your regional business. This includes margin management, presenting to customers, and your interactions with internal stakeholders.
* Accountability for building your product knowledge and building strong relationships with key principals.
Required skills, experience and personal attributes:
* An engineering qualification (academic or vocational), and preferably with some knowledge of CNC machining and programming.
* Sales experience of Machine Tools, Metal Cutting, Robotics, Metrology or another engineered product/service at capital expenditure level.
* Experience of strategically managing a regional territory, maximising immediate opportunities and driving relationships to deliver future business.
* Be able to demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and make decisions that will benefit Ward CNC, whilst maintaining professionalism and adhering to margin targets and company values.
* Excellent IT skills. Conversant with the full Microsoft Suite, including Teams, and the ability to accurately utilise a CRM (Salesforce). We are also looking for competence in using these tools to deliver first-class presentations to customers.
* Passion for professional sales and wanting to deliver service that exceeds the customers’ expectations.
