Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum

Our Client is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills, around Dorking within a venue for Special Events, Conferences and Weddings, the client is actively looking to recruit a Restaurant Manager.

As Restaurant Manager you are to ensure the smooth operation of the Gallery Restaurant in line with budgets and standard operating procedures and to strive for excellence in delivery of products and services at all times. You will also be working with the Catering Team, responsible for the daily performance of the restaurant, and maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant;

• Analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability;

• Organisation marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes;

• Working with the Catering Supervisor preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales;

• Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development;

• Planning and coordinating menus with Head chef;

• Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations;

• Advising customers on menu and wine choice;

• Recruiting, training and motivating staff;

• Organising and supervising the shifts of waiting and cleaning staff;

• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety;

• Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.

This is a full-time postition, with a salery of up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
