Responsible Sourcing Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum
Our Client is a successful supplier of Fresh Produce to the Retail sector. As their partnership with their customer grows, they offer the exciting opportunity for a Responsible Sourcing Manager to join them in a key position.
The position of Responsible Sourcing Manager will be a key link between the growers, customers, and departments across the business, taking responsibility for all aspects of responsible sourcing. This position is imperative to drive excellence and achieve industry and customer expectations. Taking responsibility for the delivery of the current and future responsible sourcing strategy, this key position will cover both labour standards & human rights and environmental sustainability.
This position is of high importance within the business, with global awareness of individuals working to grow, pack and supply the world's finest produce.
We require;
Previous experience gained in a similar position, with a focus on ethical trade or environmental sustainability
Exposure to the Fresh Produce / Food Manufacturing / Food Supply sectors would be highly
Knowledge of key standards, topics, and challenges in responsible sourcing
Confident and driven to build relationships with suppliers and customers
Ethical policies knowledge; Modern Slavery Act, SEDEX, SMETA
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels
Passion for relationship building internally and externally
Languages would be highly advantageous
Flexibility to travel given reasonable notice
Salary; £35-40k
