Purpose of the role:-
Provide a professional and welcoming reception area. Act as the first point of contact for our patients. Manage and maintain the Reception Desk dealing with our patients with the highest standards both face to face and over the phone.
Main roles and responsibilities:-
* Greet patients that come into reception in a friendly and polite manner
* Make sure all visitors sign in on arrival and out when leaving
* Take messages and pass them on where necessary
* Making and Cancelling appointments
* Taking payments and end of day cashing up
* Sort all mail and deliveries daily
* Keep reception area clean and tidy at all times
* Ensure all administration is handled efficiently and relevant paperwork is copied and filed in an organised manner
* Any general shopping requirements needed
* Marketing idea for the practice
Essential Skills/Experience:-
* Receptionist/Front of House Admin experience
* Business Administration/Secretarial Course or Qualification (Desirable)
* IT Literate – High level of IT literacy with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Prioritising workload and time management
* Ability to work under own initiative and in a more isolated role
* Working under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and speed
* Professional in appearance, conduct, language and manner
* Excellent planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
