Permanent day shifts with an early finish on Fridays, 33 days annual leave and the opportunity to produce complex components and parts for a number of high-profile Defence and Aerospace organisations. Employing around 70 people at their West Yorkshire site, this business is part of a manufacturing group with over 300 employees across the UK. With a site turnover of £15M, this impressive manufacturing business has recently invested into a number of brand-new HAAS machining centres to improve their machining capabilities. Because of continued growth and demand of their products & services, they are now on the lookout for a skilled Quality Inspector to permanently join their business.

This employer is based on the outskirts of Bradford, meaning the successful Quality Inspector can easily commute from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Halifax on public transport or by personal vehicle.

Key responsibilities of the Quality Inspector will include:

Carrying out dimensional inspection & measurement on machined components, using a variety of tools/instruments including Verniers, Callipers, Gauges and CMM
Completing associated reports such as First Article Inspection and Non-Conformance
Participating in and leading investigations into route cause as and when errors are identified
Ensuring all equipment, tools and instruments are calibrated and able to perform accurately
For the Quality Inspector position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess the following:

IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline (apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
Previous experience working in a Machine Shop environment either in a similar role or as a Machinist frequently required to inspect/measure precision machined components
The ability to use a variety of different measuring tools such as Micrometres, Verniers, Callipers, Gauges, Faro Arm and CMM (all types considered)
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Details of the Quality Inspector role:

Annual Salary: Between £28,000.00 – £30,000.00
Working Hours: 37 Hours per week – permanent day shifts – Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:00 / Friday: 07:30 to 12:30
Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days (25 days + 8 public holidays)
Company Life Assurance: 3x Annual P60 earnings
